This tile shows how your projects distribute across activity buckets, from active through to deleted. A portfolio weighted toward the inactive end clutters everyday navigation and search.

What you can conclude

• When dormant, abandoned, and archived together pass roughly a third of the portfolio, a cleanup pass pays off.
• A large active share means project pickers and filters are returning mostly relevant results.
• Growth in the dormant and abandoned buckets points to retirement candidates.
• The deleted bucket is history, not backlog: those projects are gone from Jira, and the events behind them are what remains of the record.

How this chart works

The tile buckets each project by recency of activity, active (last 90 days), slowing (90-180), dormant (180-365), abandoned (365+), and shows each bucket's share of the total. Projects that Jira reports as archived or deleted are placed in those buckets regardless of how recent their last event was, because a lifecycle state outranks recency.
