This visual answers the governance question that raw transition counts cannot: not "how many transitions happened?" but "how many of them should have happened?" The compliance score measures what percentage of all status transitions followed permitted workflow paths — and tracks that score over time.

A declining compliance score trend over two or more weeks is an organizational governance failure. It means the team is increasingly bypassing the processes that were put in place to ensure quality and accountability. Catching this trend early gives leadership a 1–2 sprint window to intervene before it becomes visible in delivery outcomes.

What you can conclude

  • A score consistently above 80 indicates strong workflow discipline — the team is following its agreed processes.
  • A declining trend over multiple weeks requires a direct process conversation — people are finding workarounds to the workflow for a reason.
  • A sudden single-day drop followed by recovery is likely an isolated incident — not a systemic concern.

How this chart works

Line chart showing the daily workflow compliance score (0–100) with a 7-day rolling average overlaid as a dashed line. Score = compliant transitions ÷ total transitions × 100. Color zones indicate governance health bands.
