Collaboration is hard to measure directly, but when two people both generate events on the same issue, it is a reasonable proxy for joint working. The collaboration index quantifies this — showing which actor pairs have the highest overlap on shared issues. This helps leaders understand the informal collaboration network within and between projects.

What you can conclude

  • Actor pairs with high collaboration scores are working closely together — potentially strong working relationships or important dependencies.
  • Actors with very low collaboration scores across the board may be working in isolation — a potential silo risk.
  • A sparse collaboration matrix across a large team indicates that work is being divided rather than shared — worth considering for cross-functional projects.

How this chart works

Matrix showing the percentage of issues where each pair of actors both generated events within the same project. Higher values indicate more frequent joint working. Use the date and project filters to focus on specific teams or periods.
