Actor Project Spread(4.5.8)

A team member whose recorded activity falls in one or two projects has a narrow spread; one whose activity reaches six or more projects is spread across the portfolio. The count covers all of an actor's recorded activity, not the projects they work on at the same time. This visual classifies each actor by their project spread and shows where contributors are spread across many projects.

What you can conclude

• For actors classified as "broad" or "cross-portfolio" contributors, a reviewer could ask whether that spread is planned.
• Actors classified as "specialist" (one project) record all of their activity in that project; the question it raises is whether that project relies on them, and who else could pick up its work.
• A team with a mix of specialists and generalists depends less on any one person's focus than a team dominated by either extreme.

How this chart works

An actor whose recorded activity carries no project — site-level events such as sprint, board, filter or issue type changes — has a project count of 0 and no classification; the bar is drawn at 0 in a neutral color rather than placed in a band.

The project count and its classification cover all of an actor's recorded activity. The date filter selects which actors are listed, keeping those active in the period, not the span their count covers.
