Resolution Velocity & Projection
VisualResolution velocity is one of the clearest indicators of a team's execution health. This visual shows not just how many issues were completed each week, but the moving average trend — so you can see whether velocity is improving, stable, or declining, and use that trajectory to inform sprint planning and capacity decisions.
What you can conclude
- A declining velocity trend over multiple weeks requires investigation — something is reducing the team's throughput capacity.
- A rising velocity trend indicates improving execution momentum — the team is either more productive or clearing a backlog faster than usual.
- A stable velocity with low week-to-week variation indicates a predictable team — reliable for planning purposes.
How this chart works
Line chart showing weekly resolved issue count per project, with 4-week and 8-week moving averages overlaid. Resolved issues are identified by status transitions to Done, Resolved, or Closed. Use the date and project filters to focus on specific teams or periods.
